The biopic of Miss France 2000. Nadia, 18, dreams of leaving her Poitou-Charentes housing estate and becoming a basketball champion. During a training session, she was spotted by a coach who wanted her to take part in the Miss Aquitaine competition, but Nadia is of mixed race (Rwandan mother, French father) and she rejected the offer outright. Shortly afterwards, when she was rejected by the INSEP (Institut national du sport, de l'expertise et de la performance) because of her impulsive nature on the pitch, her father refused to let his daughter give up and convinced her, against the advice of her mother who was worried about her daughter's excessive dreams, to take part in the competition. This marked the beginning of an adventure in which Nadia, an insecure young girl, but full of dreams, caught between the contradictory injunctions of her parents, would learn to assume more of her personality through alliances and conflicts with her competitors, marked in particular by racism... until she became the first black woman elected Miss France in 2000.
