| Synopsis | Berlin. The well-orchestrated life of Hélène Berg is turned upside down by a phone call. Her daughter Anya, a student in Paris, is accused of murder. Convinced that her daughter is innocent, Hélène takes the first plane to Paris. She promises her husband and son, in the middle of their high school graduation, that she will bring Anya home very soon, but it's all a tragic misunderstanding. On the spot, Hélène conducts her own investigation, helped by Vincent, a French lawyer - and also her childhood sweetheart whom she had not seen for twenty years. But gradually, their investigations uncover compromising evidence against Anya. As the discoveries are made, doubts creep in: what if her daughter is not innocent? |
