Synopsis | Jonathan Rivière is a business lawyer, a star at the bar who is in demand. He is also the absent father of a 12-year-old child. As soon as little Gabriel was born, Jonathan realised that family life was not his thing. With Julie, the mother, the arrangement was simple: she takes care of Gabriel and pays him so that he doesn't lack anything. Yet this child could use a father's attention. It soon became clear that Gabriel was retarded, even handicapped, and then one day the diagnosis was made. Gabriel was autistic. The word always remained abstract for Jonathan, but not for Julie. While she gave up any idea of a career to look after her son, he was content, by far, to write cheques. |
