Synopsis

On the 4th of August 1914 the German army invaded Belgium in contempt of international treaties. Will follow a series of terrible events in the heart of Belgium : civilians massacres, massive exodus to France, the Netherlands and England, misery and famine against which other Great Nation organizes the largest humanitarian operation ever seen.

This series of three 90-minute episodes each tells the daily life of Belgian: civilians in occupied Belgium, the Belgian who had to flee abroad and the Belgian soldiers who fought on the Yser front ...
