| Synopsis | In Law & Insurance: Acts of God are Elementary forces of nature unconnected with the agency of humanity or other cause Acts of God is a supernatural investigation show, following Claire, an insurance loss adjustor as she encounters ‘Acts of God’ that defy rational explanation. Across the first Season, she exposes criminal activity including child abduction, corruption and blackmail in a small town. Slowly she comes to realise the extraordinary truth – that these transgressions are rooted in an elemental conflict that has been raging for thousands of years. Acts of God revitalises the supernatural investigation show. Like Stranger Things or Dark, it draws its audience into an apparently familiar world, gradually revealing extraordinary events that are occurring, hidden, within it. |
